Description

The second year class of the Program in Neuroscience would like to invite you to attend our annual Symposium in Neuroscience. We are hosting the event at the Hilton Garden Inn on campus from 10AM to 5PM on October 17. There will be student talks, poster sessions, networking opportunities with several local biotech companies, as well as a keynote address from Dr. Leslie Vosshall. Dr. Vosshall is the Robin Chemers Neustein Professor at Rockefeller University and an HHMI Investigator. Dr. Vosshall is well known in the neuroscience and genetics communities, and is most notably known for her discovery and subsequent characterization of the insect olfactory receptor family. She will be speaking on her journey through her scientific career as well as her research.

The first poster session of the morning will begin at 10AM, with breakfast provided. Student talks will then be held throughout the day, there will be an afternoon poster session featuring the jazz group, The Kickback Trio, and the symposium will finish with Dr. Vosshall's address from 3:30 to 4:30PM. The first 100 attendees will receive a gift bag. Please join us as we showcase our program to the campus community!
